Studio Spotlight: Nightshade Tarot & Oracle
Some decks arrive with a flourish. Others invite you to slow down.
Studio Spotlight is where I highlight one deck at a time, a deck I feel drawn to, and give it a little more space.
Nightshade Tarot & Oracle is the first deck I’ve chosen to linger on.
A deck that reveals itself slowly
Nightshade was created during a slower, more inward season. I was thinking about botanical lore, shadow wisdom, and the way plants hold both beauty and danger at once. Nightshade, foxglove, poppy — they don’t shout their power. They wait.
I wanted a deck that felt the same.
This is not a deck of quick answers. It’s a deck for readers who like to sit with a question, notice what’s stirring beneath the surface, and trust intuition as much as intellect.
Tarot and oracle, woven together
Nightshade exists as both a tarot deck and a companion oracle.
The tarot follows traditional structure, grounded in familiar archetypes, while the oracle leans into plant symbolism and quiet reflection. Used together, they create layered readings — part structure, part intuition, part atmosphere.
Used separately, each still stands on its own.
Why I’m returning to it now
When Nightshade first launched, it arrived softly — and at a time when louder, more playful decks were taking centre stage. It didn’t push its way forward.
Over time, I’ve noticed something interesting: readers who find Nightshade tend to stay with it. It becomes a personal deck. A private favourite.
That’s why it’s here now.
Studio Spotlight isn’t about fixing or revisiting the past. It’s about recognising when a deck deserves a quieter second introduction — one that matches its nature.
Who Nightshade is for
Nightshade may resonate if you’re drawn to:
botanical symbolism and plant lore
shadow work and introspective readings
decks that feel calm, grounded, and thoughtful
imagery that balances beauty with depth
If you prefer tarot that whispers rather than shouts, this deck may feel like home.
A quiet invitation
Nightshade Tarot & Oracle is currently featured in the Studio Spotlight.
There’s no rush. It’s here to be explored slowly — when you’re ready.
Much love,
Hattie x
